Reservations & Bookings

We recommend early bookings to ensure availability and your choice of dates.  Phone or e-mail our office for further inquiries.

You can fax or mail your registration form.  Our fax number is  250-725-2070.

Alternatively, you can e-mail us with all your necessary information, paddlers@island.net. We accept Debit Card, VISA, MasterCard.

Deposits & Payments

Tours / Rentals / B&B

A 30% deposit for boat rentals, Lodge base tours and B&B is required at time of booking. Full payment is due on arrival for boat rentals and B&B. Payment for tours is due in full 30 days prior to trip departure.

The 30% deposit will be taken upon the time of booking.

School

The Kayaking Leadership course requires full payment 60 days in advance. For all other courses a 30% deposit will reserve your space until 30 days in advance of start date when full payment is due.

Cancellations

Refunds for cancellation are given on the following basis:

Lodge-based tours: With 14 days notice less a $15 administration fee

Rentals: With 7 days notice less a $15 administration fee

B&B: With 72 hours notice less a $15 administration fee

Refunds on a pro-rated basis will be considered with less than the required notice and subject to conditions such as the number of registrations and the probability of re-booking -- talk to us about it.

Due to the nature of operating in a remote area, Tofino Sea Kayaking Company reserves the right to cancel any trip prior to departure for any reason. If the trip is cancelled due to inadequate registration, a two-week notice will be given with a full refund and we will make every effort to offer acceptable alternatives. The costs for delays due to weather or factors beyond the control of Tofino Sea Kayaking are not included.

Insurance

We strongly recommend the purchase of cancellation insurance in the event of illness. Contact your travel agent for more information.

Further details about costs

Trip costs are quoted from Tofino, the point of departure, and include:

  • all kayaking gear except personal items as stated in the information package sent at time of registration
  • Vargas Inn Lodge accommodations for lodge-based tours

 

Prices quoted do not include:

  • 5% GST or 7% PST (where applicable)
  • accommodations and meals in Tofino unless otherwise stated
  • gratuities to guides, alcoholic beverages and other items of a personal nature
  • insurance, medical, hospitalization or evacuation costs
