Basics & Beyond

These 6-day courses are an opportunity to learn and apply Basics skills while touring in coastal wilderness.

In addition to Basics skills, these programs will guide you in menu selection, packing of boats for extended tours, route planning, weather forecasting basics, camp selection, navigation by piloting and technical stroke improvement. Judgement and seamanship skills are emphasized throughout these programs.

All kayaking gear, food and accommodation are included in the cost. All prices are in Canadian dollars.

Coastal Touring in the Wild

$1350.00 | 6 days | Your guides/instructors will emphasize knowledge of the dynamic ocean environment. They will guide you in the development of sound judgment and decision-making that responds to changing weather and sea conditions. Technical skills are taught progressively as you journey through this extraordinary coastal wilderness, learning paddling techniques, navigation, route-planning and camp selection. In the Wild will give you the skills required to independently enjoy the world of sea kayak adventuring in safety and with appropriate skills and valued confidence.
