Surf and Currents

$455.00 for 1 night accommodation | $520.00 for 2 nights accommodation | On the first day you will learn to lean, brace and turn your kayak quickly; theories of tidal currents will be explained and then we'll practice ferrying and using moving water to advantage. The day will conclude with a rescue practice session. On the second day we'll head for the beach and you'll progressively learn surfing techniques and the art of riding surf waves. An essential course for open coast paddling where you must judge how to negotiate or avoid surf landings. This knowledge will also increase skills in observation of coastal conditions and will improve paddling skills in rough seas. If these dates don't work with your schedule and you have three or more people call to arrange alternative dates, we are flexible! Keep in mind that typically July & August are not as good for surf opportunities.
