Starting Out
This comprehensive program gives you the skills necessary to begin kayak touring in safety and with appropriate confidence. This is a perfect combination of weekend getaway and learning opportunity.
Our professional instructors are sensitive to the challenges of learning. Small group sizes will ensure that they can respond directly to your needs. Certificates of completion are given at the end of each course.
All kayaking gear, food and accommodation are included in the cost. All prices are in Canadian dollars.

Basics Weekender - Introduction to Kayaking$455.00 for 1 night accommodation | $520.00 for 2 nights accommodation | This course covers equipment, paddling strokes, exit & re-entry techniques, tide and current interpretation, chart-reading & basic navigation. The weekenders launch from Tofino and during the days instruction, paddle to Vargas Island for a night at the Vargas Inn. Here you can warm up with a beach sauna after the rescues session. Wet suits are provided for this exercise! If these dates do not work with your schedule and you have three or more people, call us and arrange alternative dates - we are flexible! |
